Upgrade to Word 2007

This course provides an overview of the new user interface and features of Microsoft Word 2007.  Designed for experienced Word users who have worked with earlier versions of Word, and who have upgraded Word 2007, the course covers the commonly used new features for a typical user.

Practical hands-on training in:

bulletCustomise the Word environment
bulletSave a Word 2007 document in different versions of Word.
bulletUsing .pdf files
bulletWhere to find commands you used in Word 2003
bulletCreating Professional-Looking Documents
bulletApply quick styles to format documents
bulletApply document themes to ensure a consistent look across and between documents
bulletAdd building blocks to a document
bulletCreate illustrations
bulletAdd citations and a bibliography to a document
bulletCompare reviewed documents to view the differences between them
bulletRemove unwanted information using the Document Inspector
bulletAdd a digital signature to a document

Duration:    Half day

Recommended Prerequisites:

Attendees on course should have attended the Upgrade to Office 2007 course to become familiar with the new user interface.  Due to the nature of this course and the minimal prerequisites, there are some more advanced new features that are not covered in depth.
